Raised in Ward 5,
Dedicated to its Future.
A devoted father, entrepreneur, and community leader, Mandeep has lived in Ward 5 for most of his life and is proud to be raising his family here. Having seen the community grow and change over the years, he understands the priorities of local families, seniors, and small businesses.
Mandeep believes every neighbourhood deserves a councillor who truly understands the community they represent, is accessible to residents, and delivers real results while keeping costs affordable for families, including limiting property tax increases every year.
Through his work with the Ford government, he helped secure major provincial investments for Mississauga, including funding for new hospital infrastructure and essential services that support families and seniors. While the community has evolved, Ward 5 has not received the level of investment it deserves, and Mandeep is committed to changing that.
Mandeep has deep roots in Ward 5. He attended Ridgewood Public School, Lancaster Middle School, and both Morning Star Secondary School and Lincoln M. Alexander Secondary School.
Outside of public service, Mandeep is an avid sports fan who enjoys hockey, basketball, baseball, and football. He lives in Ward 5 with his wife, Manpreet, and their two daughters.
"Ward 5 hasn’t received the level of investment it deserves. I’m here to change that."
Building a Stronger Ward 5
Mandeep's commitment to affordability, accountability, and essential community services.
Freeze Property Taxes
Residents, families and seniors are all feeling the pinch of rising costs. Mandeep will fight to freeze property taxes and demand City Hall respect taxpayer dollars.
Faster Police Responses and Safer Neighbourhoods
Mandeep will push for resources that deliver faster police response times and more visible patrols on neighbourhood streets, in commercial areas, and around parks and transit stops.
Audit & Eliminate Wasteful Spending
Conduct an immediate line-item review of city spending to eliminate bloated bureaucracy and ensure taxpayer dollars fund core local services.
Property Standards Enforcement Unit
Create a dedicated local enforcement team to aggressively tackle chronic abuse of property standards including overgrown lawns, garbage, illegal boulevard/lawn parking and excessive noise.
Crack Down on Unsafe & Illegal Rooming Houses
Crack down on predatory rooming house operators while safeguarding legal tenants. Strict enforcement will keep our streets safe and preserve our neighbourhoods!
Freeze Councillor Office Spending
Hold elected officials accountable by immediately freezing councillor office budgets and putting an end to excessive discretionary spending.
Accessible Representation & Opportunities for Youth
Mandeep will host regular community town halls across Ward 5 to discuss issues and create local youth recreation, sports, and mentorship programs to empower our young residents.
